As we approach the summer of 2025, our team is navigating the tsunami of change the new president and Congress have brought, but we are committed to continuing many aspects of our direct advocacy. We will continue working to ensure that our two U.S. Senators and House members support just environmental and climate policies and oppose any that threaten environmental or climate justice by:
Progress on federal climate policy is more difficult due to the current administration, so we have expanded our scope to include advocacy at the state level. We are in the process of transitioning our team name from “Federal Policy Team” to “Policy Action Team”.
Our goal is to make it possible and empowering for everyone to frequently access our legislators and lobby them on the issues we care most about. We recognize that economic inequality, racial destruction and climate change are all woven together.
We work with national organizers at Food and Water Watch, People Versus Fossil Fuels, Sierra Club, and the Green New Deal Network.
The Policy Action Team works to persuade our President, two U.S. Senators and Congress members to vote “green” on climate justice bills.
