Learn how to protest effectively and safely, or how to support others who are protesting, with this series of online training sessions (past trainings can be viewed on our Videos page):

Tuesday, September 15th, 4-6 PM: Staying Safe and Healthy at Protests with (**Register for the Zoom call**)
Come learn how to be mentally and physically prepared for being on the streets protesting. What to bring, what to wear, and what to expect. This training is part of a 4-part training series hosted by (read more on Facebook).

Wednesday, September 16th, 6-7:30 PM: Know Your Rights with the National Lawyers Guild (**Register for the Zoom call**)
Learn how to protect your federally-granted constitutional rights during encounters with law enforcement officers (read more on Facebook).

Tuesday, September 22nd, 6-8 PM: Intro to Security Culture (**Register for the Zoom call**)
As activists we are often the focus of unwanted information gathering attempts by the state, and others. Through surveillance, doxxing, trumped up charges, grand juries, and much more; this information is used to harass, intimidate and suppress individuals and movements (read more on Facebook).

Saturday, September 26th, 11- 1:30 PM: De-Escalation and Peacekeeping at Protests (**Register for the Zoom call**)
Learn emotional grounding techniques, skills to defuse and de-escalate potentially volatile situations, how to work together as a team of peacekeepers, situational awareness, and
additional roles that can help create a successful action (read more on Facebook). 

Wednesday, September 30th, 7- 9 PM: Demystifying Jail and Legal Support (**Register for the Zoom call**)
During this challenging time, we face the pandemics of Covid-19 and racism, as well as climate crisis and potential election chaos. As organizers and activists, we know now is the time to be in the streets if you can, or to be supportive from home. There is always a possibility of being arrested, and it’s important to understand your rights and have a legal and jail support plan. We will share some basic information about the process of arrest as well as how to support those who may be arrested. We will highlight things to think about before, during, and after actions. It’s not rocket science, but it is important to be prepared so that you can stay safe and strong (read more on Facebook).
