Lisa Marcus

Art and Resilience Director

Pronouns: She/Her

Lisa Marcus is a massage therapist, artist (mostly in felting, woodworking, and other visual arts with a background in music and dance), and mother of a grown son. Raised in Berkeley, she moved to Seattle in 1995, after 8 years of red rock canyon outdoor work and bliss in Moab, UT. She is a Jill of all trades, with a history of starting up a countywide recycling program, engaging in field biology for endangered species, bike and river guiding, bike mechanic-ing, carpentry, teaching massage and youth, and more. Since co-founding 350 Seattle, she has focused her work on community organizing, primarily through art for climate and social justice, and working toward undoing oppressive systems while developing community resilience.
