Call Inslee’s office: (360) 902-4111

This is huge.

Together, we persuaded Governor Inslee to oppose the deadly fracked gas mega-projects in Kalama and Tacoma. But our work—and his—isn’t done yet: both projects are moving forward in regulatory processes that the Governor doesn’t control. He does have influence, though, and we need him to use that influence.

We know that this moment is like no other, and projects that were always a danger to local communities are now a danger to us all. This is the moment to insist on meaningful environmental review, both for climate impacts and for impacts to local communities.

Please call Governor Inslee at (360) 902-4111 and say “Thank you for coming out against the Kalama methanol plant and the Tacoma LNG refinery! Please also urge the City of Tacoma and the Department of Ecology to insist on a supplemental environmental impact statement to evaluate changes to and safety concerns with the Tacoma LNG facility—and urge the Department of Ecology to reject the Kalama methanol refinery developer’s inaccurate and incomplete environmental analyses. We need review that integrates current climate science, that prioritizes the health and safety of local communities, and that takes place in full consultation with tribal nations.
