Coups happen suddenly. But they can be stopped peacefully. We cannot accept the election results until all votes are counted, and we need to ensure that everyone who’s entitled to vote is able to vote. If democracy falters, it will be impossible for us to advance climate policy at anything like the scale that’s necessary, and generations will pay for our failures.
